As of February 15, 2016, Italian Study Visas will no longer be issued free of charge.Only citizens of Korea will be exempt from payment due to a bilateral agreement between Italy and Korea.Since visa fees change every three months, you will need to contact the Consulate General of the correct amount. The visa fee will be paid in cashiers’ checks or money order made out to the Consulate General of Italy.

The Visa Office handles the issuance of visas allowing applicants entrance into Italy or the EU. Office personnel are available to the public for consultation on what type of visa to apply for.
THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF ITALY IN LOS ANGELES ACCEPTS VISA APPLICATIONS ONLY FROM LEGAL RESIDENTS OF ARIZONA, NEW MEXICO, NEVADA AND THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA: SAN LUIS OBISPO, KERN, SAN BERNARDINO, SANTA BARBARA, VENTURA, LOS ANGELES, RIVERSIDE, SAN DIEGO, IMPERIAL VALLEY, ORANGE.
The Visa Department receives "by appointment only" .
The Visa Office of the Italian Consulate General in Los Angeles will schedule a max of 11 appointments (+/- 20 mins X interview) for the mornings Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday. A max of 4 time slots will be allocated for Wednesday afternoon .
The Office will be closed to the public on Thursday
