The Italian Parliamentary elections have been called for March 4, 2018. Italian citizens residing abroad and registered in the electoral rolls of the overseas constituency, may exercise their right to vote by mail.

The Italian citizens registered in AIRE (Registry of Italians Residing Abroad) are invited to verify with their referring Consulate their AIRE status (with particular regard to their address where the voting ballots will be mailed).

Italian voters, and their family members residing with them, that find themselves temporarily abroad due to work, study or for medical treatments, for a period of at least three months (including election day for the Italian Parliament), can partake in the voting by mail by sending a request to their Comune (Municipality) in accordance with the law 459 of December 27, 2001, paragraph 1 section 4-bis.

We reiterate pursuant to section 48 of the Italian Constitution your vote is personal, equal, free and confidential. Voting is a civic duty from which derives the obligation to safeguard the ballots that will be mailed and the prohibition to share the electoral material with others.
