Two scholarships in memory of Giovanni and Francesca Falcone NIAF form the Fulbright Commission and the Falcone Foundation

The Fondazione Giovanni e Francesca Falcone in Palermo and the Fulbright Program in Italy, in cooperation with the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), are pleased to announce two grants for research in criminology, for the year academic 2016-2017.

1) The first is reserved for students enrolled in Master’s (Laurea Magistrale) or Ph.D. programs at universities in Sicily and expires on 29 January 2016. The grant will allow the winner to conduct research in Criminology at universities in the U.S. necessary to complete their Master’s thesis or Ph.D. dissertation. The research project may last for a minimum of six to a maximum of nine months and may be pursued at a university in the USA of the candidate’s choice. Candidates must have an official letter of acceptance from the institution when applying for the scholarship.

2) The second scholarship is reserved for U.S. students and the deadline for applications is October 13, 2015. The winner will have the opportunity to study and conduct research in criminology at the Fondazione Giovanni and Francesca Falcone in Palermo for a period from a minimum of five to a maximum of nine months.
