Sorrentino’s The Great Beauty is awarded Best Foreign Language Film at BAFTA (February 17, 2014)
After claiming the Golden Globe, Paolo Sorrentino’s The  Great Beauty also won the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The other nominations in this category were The Act of Killing by Joshua Oppenheimer, Blue Is the Warmest Colour by Abdellatif Kechiche, Metro Manila by Sean Ellis and Wadjda by Haifaa Al-Mansour.
The Award ceremony took place at London’s famed Royal Opera House in Convent Garden.
