“The Great Beauty” nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2014 Golden Globes (December 12, 2013)

“The Great Beauty” by Paolo Sorrentino has made it to the final cut of 5 pictures nominated for Best Foreign Language Film for the 2014 Golden Globes, the annual prestigious ceremony where awards are decided by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Known to be a premonition of sorts for the Oscars, the next Golden Globe Award Ceremony will take place on January 12, 2014. This new development marks yet another important recognition for “The Great Beauty”, after its impressive reception by public and critics worldwide. At the Golden Globes the film, presented in Los Angeles at the opening of Cinema Italian Style on November 14 and later released in the U.S. by Janus Film and Criterion Collection, is going up against “Blue is the Warmest Color” (France), “The Hunt”  (Denmark), “The Past” (Iran) and The Wind Rises (Japan).
