On the  occasion of the 20th anniversary of Federico Fellini’s death, Los Angeles honored the memory of the Maestro with a special tribute by “Orchestra Italiana del Cinema” (OIC) in collaboration with young L.A. musicians at UCLA’s Royce Hall. OIC performed a special multi-media concert of historic soundtracks highlighting the intense ties, both human and artistic, between Federico Fellini and Nino Rota. Their cooperation started in 1952 with “Lo sceicco bianco” and continued on until 1978 when “Prova d’orchestra” saw the light.
Against the backdrop of footage from the Maestro’s most famous works, the musicians directed by conductor Daniele Belardinelli, performed the soundtracks of 'I vitelloni', 'La Strada', 'Le notti di Cabiria', 'La Dolce Vita', '8 ½', 'I clown', 'Roma', 'Amarcord', 'Il Casanova', 'Prova d'orchestra', 'Ginger e Fred' and 'La voce della luna'.
The event, one of the landmark celebrations of 2013 - Year of Italian Culture in the US, was presented by actress and entertainer Dina Morrone.
